Greenhill Park Residential Care Home

This project comprised of a 14-bedroom extension and new communal areas, which adjoin the existing Victorian care home, once owned by the Cadbury Family.

Although not a listed building, close liaison was required with the Planners to ensure that the blend of materials used on this high specification, D & B project sympathetically mirrored, as near as possible, the existing building and compliment the environment.  The build extends over 3 floors with the basement having been excavated to accommodate extra floor space for additional bedrooms.  To comply with DDA regulations a new lift was also installed.

Phase 1 works consisted of the construction of the new accommodation wing on completion of which, the residents were relocated into the new extension thus allowing refurbishment of the existing building to commence, ensuring the residents encountered no disruption to their care or well-being.

A covered walkway adjoins the two buildings together with elements of the ‘old’ such as the existing stone window surrounds being utilised in the ‘new’.
